Classical repertoire, contemporary film music, and her personal experience all shaped Pan’s composition style. When exploring different configurations of composition, ranging from solo to orchestral music, she always reminds herself of those names—John Williams, James Horner, Felix Mendelssohn, Antonion Devorak, Astor Piazzolla, and Francisco Tarrega, and so on.

Perhaps Pan is most known for her works on various minor scales, as she finds minor scales serve better to express her emotions and capture her intentions. In her recent compositions, she focuses on women and LGBTQ+ communities.
